About me….
I
would sincerely like thank all the visitors of Tirdad View who send me messages of good wishes,
congratulations and appreciation. It is often difficult for me to answer
all the e-mails I receive, but I would like you to know that every one of your
messages are read and appreciated. Since Tirdad View hit the internet in June 1996, I've received more than
20,000 e-mails. I've tried to
answer all the messages with at least a thank you.
I was born in Tehran, Iran
in June 1979. I spent my childhood
in Iran
and graduated high school early. At
the age of sixteen, I attended the University
of Sarab for almost three
years to acquire a degree in Veterinarian Medicine. It had been the desire of my family to
come to America
and build a life here. We waited
for many years for this opportunity.
When I was nineteen years old, this suddenly became a reality for
us. Unfortunately, I was unable to
finish my degree. We didn’t
have much time as we departed our beloved Iran. We felt it was an important turning
point in our family’s future.
However, it was very difficult leaving the only life we had ever known
and the family and friends that we loved so dearly. Fortunately, we did have some family in Huntsville, Alabama. So, this is where we settled and it has
been home to us ever since.
Upon
arriving to America,
I enrolled in college to begin my education here. I acquired an Associates Degree in
Computer Information Systems in 2002 at Calhoun
Community College and a Bachelors Degree in Management of Technology in
2005 at Athens State. I am currently pursuing my Masters
Degree in Management Acquisition and
Contract Management Concentration from the Florida Institute of Technology.
When
I was in college, I had the opportunity to work for the U.S. Space & Rocket
Center as an Aerospace and Robotics Instructor for Space Camp &
Aviation. I really enjoyed this
job. Working with kids was the
greatest! I was then
introduced to the mortgage industry.
I became a licensed Mortgage Broker and formed a business with two other
partners in the city of Madison. The name of our organization is “A
Perfect Mortgage, LLC”. You
can view our website at www.aperfectMtg.net. I am also a Sales Manager for
“Pre-Paid Legal Services” and I have been doing this for three
years now. I also provide Farsi Translation
Services as an independent translator.
As
far as activities goes, I am dedicated to my Jujitsu & Judo training at the
moment. I have been very involved with Judo
& Wrestling since I was a child.
I won many tournaments when I lived in Iran
and a few in the U.S.
too. I am also a black belt in
Judo. Unfortunately, in Alabama there were no Judo studios. It’s my goal to open my own studio
eventually, so I can share my love of this sport. I am currently teaching 2 days a week in Triad Martial Arts. You can watch our videos at www.youtube.com/AlabamaJudo I’m also an avid fisherman. My best friend and I try to get together
as often as possible for a fishing trip.
We are very competitive!
I
love Iranian music. I
couldn’t live without it. It
really takes away all my stress at the end of a long day. I have found many websites where I can
still listen to all the old classical Iranian music. The lyrics are like poetry to my
ears. I also enjoy various types of
American music too. My favorite
poets are Rahi Moa'ri, and my father. My father is also a very gifted
artist. I can only wish I was as
talented. I love Iranian cuisine
and my mother is a traditional Iranian chef in my eyes. She is the best and my favorites are
Kabob and Khoresh Ghorme. My
grandfather was such an inspiration in my life. If I had only one wish,
I'd wish to visit with him one more time, so I could tell him just how much he
influenced my life.
Politics…
now there is an often hairy subject.
On my website, you can see that I have many political web pages. I love and miss Iran. The people and the culture are rich with
diversity and still hold on to many of the traditional ways. I do not agree with the politics of my
country at this time. It is my hope
that one day the beautiful country of Iran will not be seen by some as an
evil place. The government does not
represent the true desires of the Iranian people. One day, I would love to return to Iran to see all
my family and see that it has changed for the better. Yes, at times I do have strong opinions
regarding American politics too, but don’t let that confuse you. I’m not a terrorist. Some people are quick to label you when
you are not from here. I love this
country and that is why I am here.
There are so many opportunities.
Many American take their freedom for granted. It is a wonderful gift to have, and we
should do everything we can to maintain that freedom. I don’t like wars, but I do
realize they are necessary at times as a last means. Some of my websites do show graphic
images of events that have happened. I only post them so people will realize
that there is evil in this world.
We should never turn a blind eye.
All countries (the people and the governments) must work together to
bring world peace.
As
far as my romantic life goes, well I seem to stay pretty busy with work, family
and school. I have dated casually,
but I just haven’t found the right match. I’m a little tired of the casual
dating scene. It’s my mother’s
hope that I will marry a good Iranian woman. I am not opposed to this. It’s just really difficult to find
any single Iranian women in the state of Alabama. I think my mother has ideas of shipping
a bride over from Iran!!! Either way, I want to wait until
I’m a bit more settled into my permanent career and then I will go on a serious
search for my future wife. Did I
mention she must be beautiful… extremely intelligent… and an
excellent cook like my mother?? :)
I really do hope I find that special someone to share my life with and I
will do my best to make her happy.
Ok
well that about sums it up about me.
Thanks for taking the time to read my profile….. Tirdad
